Terms

The deal, in the fewest words it takes.

Last updated October 2026. If something here doesn't match what you were told on a call, tell us. We'd rather fix it than argue about it.

What you're paying for

A monthly subscription to one or more pieces of SoFire: Line, Kitchen, and the phone. Month to month. Cancel at the end of any month and you won't be billed for the next one. Screens are $50 a month each, kitchen or counter, on Line or Kitchen. Setup is $100 for the phone and $500 for Kitchen done for you.

Line and Kitchen are billed flat by the month. The phone is billed as a monthly base that includes 400 minutes on calls, plus 50 cents a minute past that, and the month's bill never goes past $999 without your yes. Every billed minute is on a call in your list, with the recording. If a number looks wrong, ask and we'll go through it with you.

A new phone shop gets two months free, counted from the day the phone goes live on the shop's real line, not the day you sign up. A card goes on file and nothing is charged until the free months end. Then the phone's $100 setup is charged, whether you keep it or not. About a week before the first bill you get a note with what a normal month would have cost. Turn it off before then and the $100 is all you pay.

Your data is yours

Everything you put into SoFire, and everything it reads from your register, belongs to your business. We don't sell it, share it, pool it or train on it, and no distributor pays for placement in the price comparison. You can download all of it from Settings at any time. If you leave, we delete our side on request.

What we don't promise

Software goes down sometimes, and so does the internet in your building. SoFire isn't a safety system: the walk in temperature alerts are a help, not a substitute for checking your cooler and keeping your own food safety logs. Anything marked as being built or being finished on this site is exactly that. It isn't what you're buying today.

The phone talks to your customers. It reads back every order before sending it, and every call is recorded so you can check one. It will still get one wrong eventually, the same as any person who has ever answered a phone in a kitchen. You're responsible for the orders your shop makes and for what your greeting tells callers.

The payroll file is a file for your payroll company. Paying people correctly, and following your state's labor and tip rules, is on you and your bookkeeper. The app does arithmetic; it doesn't give you tax or employment advice.

Your Clover is your register. SoFire reads it and, when you tap, writes to it. Keep your own backups of your menu the way Clover recommends, and check the register after a big change the same way you'd check it after an employee made one.

Using it sensibly

Don't use SoFire to break the law, and don't resell access to it. Keep your owner code to yourself; anybody with it can see everything. If someone leaves the shop, take them off. That part is yours to do.

If it goes wrong

Tell us. There's a person on the other end who runs a shop and knows what a bad Friday costs. Nothing here is meant to stop you from getting a straight answer or your money back for a month that didn't work.
