What we collect, and what we don't.

Plain language, because a privacy page nobody can read isn't doing its job. Last updated October 2026.

The promise, first

Your shop's data is yours. SoFire never sells it, never shares it with anyone outside your shop, never pools it with other shops, and never trains anything on it. You can download all of it from Settings whenever you want. If you leave, say the word and we delete our side.

If you fill in a form on this site

We get your name, your shop's name, your phone number, your email and whatever you typed in the box. It goes to the owner's inbox and it's used to call you back about SoFire. It isn't sold, rented, or handed to anybody else, and you won't get put on a marketing list because you asked a question. Ask us to delete it and we will: hello@alldayanswering.com.

If your shop uses SoFire

The app holds what you put in it and what it reads from your Clover: your menu and prices, your orders, your inventory and vendor prices, your invoices, your staff list and their hours, tips, the schedule, prep lists, recipes and notes. We don't share it with distributors, and no vendor pays to be shown as the cheaper one.

Staff records include names, phone numbers, PINs, hours and tip amounts because payroll needs them. PINs are stored hashed, so nobody at SoFire can read them. What the crew can see on a shared tablet is narrower than what an owner sees: the crew tablet doesn't show prices, payroll or your notes.

SoFire reads your Clover through Clover's own connection, which you approve. It writes to the register only when you tap something that says it will, and every one of those changes is logged and undoable.

Your customers

When a customer orders online or by phone, we store what the ticket needs: their name, their phone number, the order, and if they signed up, their last orders so "Your usual" works. That list is your shop's list. It is never sold, never shared with other shops, and never used to market anything that isn't yours. Card payments are handled by Clover; SoFire never sees or stores a card number.

Texts to customers are never automatic. The app sends a customer a text only when someone in your shop taps to send it, and your shop is responsible for what it says.

If your shop uses the phone

Calls to your shop's line are recorded and written out as transcripts, so you can listen back when an order goes wrong. Recordings and transcripts are kept as part of your shop's call history rather than deleted on a timer, so you can go back further than last night. Ask us to delete any call, or to clear the lot, and we'll do it. They're visible to you and to whoever you give access to inside your own shop's app. They are not used to train anything and they are not sold.

A caller's phone number and the name they give for the order are stored with the order, the same way they would be if a person wrote the ticket.

Some states require callers to be told a line is recorded. There's a toggle for that line in your greeting, off until you switch it on, and you write what it says. Your shop is responsible for what its greeting says. We'll tell you what we know about it; we're not your lawyers.

Support

When you report a call, an order or a problem from inside the app, the report carries what we need to fix it: the transcript, the order, what the register said, the screen you were on. It never carries your codes, keys or PINs. When someone from SoFire opens your shop to help, the app shows you that it happened and when.

The boring parts

This site doesn't run advertising trackers and doesn't sell anything about who visited it. The app runs on hosted infrastructure and uses a small number of vendors to do things like answer calls, transcribe them, send text messages and process payments. Each one gets only what it needs to do that job, and none of them get to keep your data for their own use.
